Allow me to digress a little (as if this site wasn’t 95% digression already) and wish a happy birthday to my country, which turns 200 today. So, congratulations, Argentina!

Yukino Miyazawa is the perfect student and role model… or so it seems. In truth, this facade of perfection hides a dark secret… that she’s actually a slob of a girl that just delights in getting compliments.
Yeah, it’s not so much dark as hilarious. Today’s Daughter is cosplaying as a character from His and Her Circumstances (Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou or Karekano for short), and I definitely recommend that you read this manga.

Future Boy Conan was an anime series from the late 70′s, but it will rock your socks today just the same. Probably because it was directed by Hayao Miyazaki of Ghibli fame.
Here we have Daughter as a somewhat uncharacteristically energetic Lana, Father enjoying himself (maybe?) as Captain Dyce, and Spectre portraying the ugliest Tikki ever.

…I couldn’t think of a better title for this one where Daughter is impersonating the boisterous Tomo from Azumanga Daioh.
It’s funny how, having many characters to choose from, Daughter always ends up taking the place of the biggest jerk of the show.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is arguably the best western animated series of the last decade, and perhaps more than that. And among a cast of amazingly ass-kicking characters, nobody kicks more ass than Toph Bei Fong, whose brash style is a perfect match for Daughter.

I thought I’d take the chance to write about this today, since it’s time-sensitive info. Come back this Wednesday for more Imaginary Daughter!
Since last week and until dawn tomorrow, some indie developers are offering a bundle of their games for whatever you may feel like paying (including $0.00, should you be such a cheap bastard). But if you think that’s as good as a promo gets, you’re in for a surprise. These guys have found the way to make it way more awesome than that.
