2009 in review and some 2010 plans
So, we’re all another year closer to our deaths! (it’s disturbing because it’s true!)
Anyways, let’s take a look back at 2009 for this site, shall we? I know you want to.

Just a quick note to let you know that the latest site changes aren’t just cosmetic. I’ve given the Bonus Imaginary Daughter comics their own category. That means you can now browse the main storyline without being bothered by these distractions. More importantly, it means that the bonus comics won’t appear as updates in some tracking sites, such as Belfry or Piperka. So right now would be a good time for you to subscribe to this site’s feed – just saying.
I just wanted to thank the DrunkDuck team for featuring Imaginary Daughter on the front page. Thanks guys!
Edit - I’d somehow missed this:
All of a sudden a man finds a daughter in his life, like Athena and Minerva she springs fully formed from his mind… That complicates things for him, but not as much as having a daughter the normal way would’ve done… This is a very strange comic and the daughter is a very strange little girl. With magical powers. The city is devoid of people, reality isn’t functioning in the normal way, and something bad is after them both.
Featuring delightfully bright colour pencil colouring by Karchesky! Read Imaginary Daughter!
You might recall how I babbled on about Azumanga Daioh a few months ago. It’s one of my favorite series ever. I particularly love the manga, but the anime is superb as well. I had watched around… 2006, I guess? And I remembered it fondly. Creator Kiyohiko Azuma has been very influential to me, his other best known work being about a guy who somehow ends up with a little weird daughter.
Our time together was short but plentiful and you’re both missed very much. Might you both continue to bring joy to people wherever you are and whoever they are – yes, even to the stupid bastard that stole you from my backpack.

We were not meant to be
I’ve always seen small, drawing-oriented sites, celebrate getting a certain number of visits, such as 10,000 or 100,000. As you can probably tell by the tile of this entry, savvy reader that you are, I’ve reached 50,000 visits myself. Which of course means that anyone can do it, but still.
I’m really happy and grateful to you all for giving me the chance of entertaining you with my work. Thank you for making this possible and let’s get to the 100k milestone even faster!
While you wait for the schedule to slowly go back to normal (next strip will be out tomorrow rather than today), you can revisit the last strips starting here, as I’ve enlarged them a bit. I’m not even sure why I didn’t switch to a larger image size when I moved to a bigger drawing paper. Anyways, enjoy? There are a few things that were hard to read and can be read just fine now.

100 extra pixels of width for your enjoyment
OK, so now I definitely need to start drawing the strip, and the deadline’s over. It was a tie in the end! Who would have thought so. There were many views but few people voted, I wonder why? Well, anyways, since democracy failed us this time, I’m leaving it to (what else) randomness. Check back tomorrow to see the end result of this whole thing! Also, you don’t get to find out what the losing option was. Nyahahaha.
Thanks for taking the time to read this little strip, and extra thanks to those who took the time to vote
