This isn’t exactly news (which might make you wonder why am I posting it under “gaming news”… hey, it’s my site, ok?), but Chrono Trigger is being re-released for the Nintendo DS. Now if you’re living under a rock for over a decade, or, more likely, if you’re simply too young to remember it, we’re talking about possibly the best RPG ever, with lovable/rocking characters, addictive gameplay, excellent graphics (for the Super Nintendo, anyways, and now for the DS as well), a wonderful plot thankfully free of most of the cliches that tend to plague the genre, and, more to the point of this entry, some of the most amazing music to ever grace a 16-bit game, and then some.

So, pumped up as I am about the chance to replay this classic in my DS (and not in an emulator), I decided to look around for some CT music and came across this little gem that slipped by me when it was released a year and a half ago: Chrono Symphonic by the fine folks at Overclocked Remix.

It’s utterly awesome and I urge you to go download it ASAP (or listen to it in last.fm). You won’t be disappointed.
