SoulSearch

SoulSearch

We’ve begun work in a new project (other projects are still being worked on). Anyways, this one should be out of the gates fairly quickly, so I thought I’d try sharing with you guys some of the design process. I’m working on the graphic aspect of it. So far I’ve done these spiffy character designs. So without further ado, here are some characters that will appear in SoulSearch.

Jornada de Videojuegos Santa Fe 09

This saturday, Gameskite will participate in the “Jornada de Videojuegos Santa Fe 09“. One of us will even be appearing in one of the panels. If you happen to be there, you’ll recognize him for the frozen smile. See you there!

More video? You better believe it!

More video? You better believe it!

A new video has been posted online, featuring a bit of footage of some of our game projects. This includes a bit of Breakfast Attack, an edutainment game we were working on for a NGO, a single Princess Deadpan frame, and a rather cool “motion capture” experiment where a horse turns into a garishly colored steampunk machine.

Ours are the images with the “Gameskite” label. Frustratingly enough, our site isn’t up yet, so I can’t link to it. So… yeah.

Great Scott! To say that I’ve been busy lately is like saying that there might be some mild discomfort in the financial markets during the next few years. The good news is that the worst is nearly over in terms of how many different projects I’ve been handling at the same time. Not that I’m complaining, it’s been pretty kickass around here, even if I haven’t had a proper night’s sleep since mid november. Whatever. Let’s hope things continue working out well.

Of course, I haven’t had time to work on this site, at all. I’ll try to get an Imaginary Daughter strip done during the weekend, but I can’t promise anything.

In the meantime, I leave you with a selection of last night’s work. That’s right, I drew and animated some 150 sprite frames last night. BWAHAHAHA! Yeah, I’m really on the edge of sanity for lack of sleep. On the other side of the edge, that is. Anyways, enjoy, even if it doesn’t make any sense what-so-ever.

Introducing: gameskite

Introducing: gameskite

So, you know the games section in this site? Turns out it exists for a reason, namely that I’ve been working in a new startup company for the past few months, developing games (the site is actually still under construction, the only thing you’ll learn from clicking that link is that a site with that name actually exists). Well, kinda; so far we’ve mostly just been putting the company together. But now, game development begins in earnest! We need to have a game finished by the end of november, and another, longer game, half-finished by the end of november as well. Which means that I’m gonna be hella busy for the next month! Which in turn means less [or no] updates in some areas of this site, and [even] slower updates in other areas, sorry :(

Right now we’re working on flash-based games. After that we’ll be doing something a little more exciting, or so we hope. Someday you might heard us mentioned in the same phrase with the likes of Blizzard (as in “Gameskite’s games suck, unlike Blizzard’s”, though hopefully not). And when that day comes, remember, you heard it here first :D
