Tarot (0 – the fool)

This is a project that… hm, I’m not really sure what to do about. The idea itself is fun enough that makes me want to go ahead, but, time is a tyrant as always.
Anyways, as you can see, this is about creating a tarot deck with characters from some of my comics. This is the first card, “the fool”. I thought Daughter was a good choice for this.
I’m not into occult stuff, I’m as skeptic as a person can healthily be, but I’m a sucker for cards and I’ve wanted to have a tarot deck for some time now. So, I thought I’d just draw one.
If I go ahead with it, this project will take over mondays from Stochastic, turning it into a weekly thing. But that depends on how much time it takes me to do one of these.
Right now I’m not even sure what techniques to use. Watercolor and anything that takes up too much time is out of the question. At this point it’s boiling down to two choices: quick and dirty black and white, just like Stochastic, or some more ellaborated Photoshop work, which I don’t know if I can afford timewise. I think I’ll be setting for black and white plus pencil shading/cross-hatching, since it allows me to get a reasonably good result in a reasonable time. Man, being a grown up sucks sometimes.
Be that as it may, I didn’t finish the one for today, so here you go: the quick and dirty version and the in-progress photoshopped version.
Would you kindly let me know your thoughts on the whole thing?
Update: and here is the pencilled version.
