Card Captor Daughter

RELEASE!

Card Captor Sakura is a fantastic series, even if you are, like me, far from the intended target of preteen girls.

One particular detail that I’ve always loved and admired is the way the creators of the show handled the ending of the first season. Without spoiling it, they achieved maximum effect through minimal effort. My maximum effect I mean the devastating emotional impact the viewer suffers upon realizing exactly how things would end if the heroes don’t pull through. By minimal effort I’m talking about the simple action (or inaction) of not showing a little something that used to be an emotional anchor for the characters.

Sorry if that is really cryptic, but those who have seen it will know what I’m talking about, and those who haven’t really ought to ;)

  1. I’ve watched the whole thing. I’m considering reading some of the volumes we have at our library, though not until after I finish the volumes of Negima I have.

I’ve seen it, but it’s been awhile. What was the breaking point of the first season again? Was that before or after Kiro transformed and started the whole Card master thing?

Awesome. I love the wings & the highlights in her hair. I think this is one of the best (not in comparison so much as in quality) you have done so far. Kudos! :D
