Whew! I catched up… just in time to be late again. Actually, I still have a couple of hours and the next strip is half-done so I might just make it. We’ll see about that.

Things are getting weirder…

The “floating” Daughter was a spur-of-the-moment idea but I like how it looks, even though I messed it up a bit. See, her and Father’s drifting to the left wasn’t supposed to happen; the paper must have moved when I was pencilling it and I only realized it when I put it all together, since the pencilled, inked and painted pages don’t have the frames drawn on them (perhaps they should??). Anyways, it’s staying like that now since fixing it would involve quite a bit of work.

Very experimental backgrounds here. I like the one for the left side, not so sure about the one for the right side. The melting colors on the left try to represent Daughter’s situation improving as time passes (and it begins with red, as the last panel on the previous strip ended in red). The one on the right side tries to represent Daughter’s joy. If this were a manga, or if I were less of a hack, this one could have lots of flowers and stuff.
