048 (wherein some planning is done)
May 30th, 2009
Yes, I drew Father’s hands on his pockets and no, it wasn’t out of laziness.
Well, there you go! Another comic in before the end of the month, which makes fully TWO comics in a month. Hah!
…ugh.
So… yeah. A number of things done differently on this comic, hopefully for the best. Now back to work in something quite different.

An update! 8D
Oh, and by the way, I’ve come back to faithfully follow your comic. I’ve only just gotten around to hunting up all the webcomics I used to have in my Bookmarks before major computer virus got rid of em all. (I was the one who commented on your ‘A’s all that time ago…)
So, yeah. Great comic, keep it up! Even if it is a page a month!
Thanks, glad to see you here, and will keep it up!
And might I recommend a feed reader for you? I know I wouldn’t be able to keep up with all the comics and other stuff I follow, plus it would make you inmune to a system breakdown
Thanks, but I think I’m fine for now. I have a system that seems to work. Also, aren’t these emoticons just he cutest?
Heh, thanks, and alrighty then
I have two questions for you. #1. What’s up w/the three red rectangles by each of the character’s faces in the second-to-last panel? Also, why does ID look so sad in the last one?
Ah, it’s so sad having to explain what you tried to do
The red marks are actually a visual cue of surprise – something has caught the characters’ attention and we don’t know what yet. It’s used fairly often in some comics…
As for the last panel, it’s because they’re staring at something off-panel that’s shocked Father and isn’t making Daughter too happy either. There are some clues to this in the shadow seen in the previous panel and the black shadow seen behind the panels. See also two pages ago, “something wicked this way comes”
Hmmm.. now you got me staring at that panel trying to figure out what that small object is. Not seeing the “shadow” though.
Nevermind. Couldn’t see the forest for the trees. The shadow is the large black area that covers a good amount of space between all the panels except one? Like something large is standing over them? Am I right?
Ah, yes. I thought it was sort of clever…
It was! I’ve noticed it’s what a lot of good artists (in all forms of media) do. It’s like watching your favorite movie & each time seeing something in it you never noticed before. I still get that w/The Crow.
…..*stares*
…………..
…!
AAAA! Shadow!
