046 (wherein something wicked this way comes)
Back on schedule! …I wish!
When I was younger, I used to take long walks at night, when no one was around, walking over the bed of leaves that Fall had deposited on the streets. I became enamoured with the sound of the leaves crunching under my feet, and by extension, with the golden trees and with Fall itself.
But now I feel I’ve drawn enough Golden Fall Trees for a f—ing lifetime.
Hello, it’s been some time (right… “some” time!). Anyways, I’m trying to get Imaginary Daughter back in something approximating a schedule, though I can’t make any promises. I’m as busy as ever, but I really, really missed drawing this.
No new voting incentives this time. In fact, I’m thinking of scratching the whole thing, and just post extra sketches whenever I feel like it.
About this strip… hehe, what can I say. Yes, that’s a big shadow over the road on panel 2. Just be glad this long hiatus started right before this one, eh?

I’ve missed this comic.
….that is a big shadow. Is it the Anti-Daughter? Gigantic, boring, evil(er), and not-cute-at-all?
Glad to see you back, then
Ehehe, I had not thought of an Anti-Daughter, but it’s not a bad idea! Of course she would look just like Daughter – a twin of sorts – but her actions would have the opposite purpose than those of Daughter. Whether her actions would be evil or not, however…
YEEEEEEEEE!!!!
*Does Happy Dance*
I’m so happy that this has been updated. Personally I think it’s interesting to note that what ever it is, isn’t really seeing them the same way we are.
About the anti-daughter idea, I would like to point out that it hasn’t been made clear if the daughter is good
or evil
so the anti-daughter could be either as well
Yup, it has past-sight
Ah, yeah, it remains to be seen whether Daughter is good or evil or something else… the idea of an Anti-Daughter makes me think of that one Simpsons Halloween Special where Bart had a twin but it turned out it was Bart who was the evil one
Good to see that ID is back. I like the Ray Bradbury reference in the title.
Thanks! (though it’s actually Macbeth
)
Now if I’d paid more attention in high school English class, I’d know that. I just remember that awesome book from Jr. High (“Something Wicked This Way Comes”). Thanks for the correction.
This page reminds me when my sister & I walked in the park during the summertime … (sigh) how I wish for those memories back
